Rise Alumni Open Forum & Dinner/Drinks | July Edition

Do you ever have a burning challenge you need to solve for your business and think, “what would my Rise peers say about this?” or “if only I could ask the next Rise breakout group what to do”?

Then, join this unique opportunity to discuss your burning challenges in a typical Rise session format with your peers and (re)connect with founders from previous batches.

The day will conclude with an AMA with Swapfiets CEO Marc de Vries, followed by dinner and drinks.

This will be a session where you can bring any challenge you have to get input on from peers.

This is an open forum format, which means your challenge does not have to fall under any general topic. It can be in the fields of Talent, Product, Operations, Capital, Go2Market, Internationalisation, or Leadership/Personal Development. 

This is a safe space to get peer input on these challenges. For that reason, we will not involve niche expertise in specific fields, but rather we invite later-stage scaleup founders, such as those from the Shine programme, to contribute to the conversation as well. 

We will wrap up the day with an AMA with Swapfiets CEO Marc de Vries, followed by dinner and drinks with the wider community.

How can you best prepare for the session?

  • Submit a well thought through challenge you want to present to your peers.  

  • Think about what context your peers would need to understand your challenge better. 

  • Remember you are there to get input from other founders, not necessarily industry experts or advisors. i.e this will not be a place to dive into what to do with your legacy code. 

  • Focus on big important business decisions in the field of Talent, Product, Operations, Capital, Go2Market, Internationalisation, or Leadership/Personal Development that you think your peers can think along with you. 

  • Be prepared to pitch your challenge in 1 minute or less. (We are strict with this!)

This session is ideal for...

  • Founders and/or CEO’s who completed the Rise programme.

  • We have room for 1 person per company to attend this session.

  • If you as a founder cannot attend, please feel free to nominate a C-Suite executive to take your place by emailing us at scale@techleap.nl.

  • 14.30 - 15.15 Kick-off & Intros

  • 15.15 - 17.15 Breakout Groups for Peer Discussions

  • 17.15 - 18.00 AMA with Swapfiets CEO Marc de Vries [with wider members from the community]

  • 18.00 - 20:00 Community Dinner & Drinks [with wider members from the community]

    We'll also have a screen to watch the Netherlands vs Romania game at 18.00.

Getting there

By train/tram: Take tram 9 from The Hague Central Station and get off at the 'Laan Copes van Cattenburch' stop. From there, it's about a five-minute walk.

By car: Parking is available on the street [paid until 17.00, free after].
